16 DAYS OF ACTIVISM AGAINST GENDER BASED VIOLENCE & THE WORLD AIDS DAY COMMEMORATED

From 25th November, 2018, the international Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women, to 10 December, Human Rights Day, the 16 days of Activism against Gender Based Violence Campaign is a time to galvanize action to end violence against women and girls around the world.

Also, December 1, 2018 marked the 30th anniversary of the first reported case of HIV/AIDS. To align with both internationally recognized days, Teen Africa organized a talk on the “ills of Gender Based Violence” and the Joint United Nations Programme on HIV and AIDs, UNAIDS theme: “Know your Status” for pupils of the Good Shepherd Boys Seminary Secondary School, Independence layout, Enugu. At the end of the talks, the pupils also played a football match to cap the day’s event.

 The Teenage Development for Africa (Teen Africa) is a pan African not-for-profit, gender based, education youth development organization.
