1  African youths are largely a representation of a distinct social category of people who though educated, competent and prepared for the task of leadership are hardly ever given the opportunity. Given the system of learning within formal education settings as well as African socialization systems and strategies, many of these youths lack the boldness to challenge current leadership structures that relegates them to the background. Using dialogical approaches to learning, Teen Africa works to build the capacity of adolescents, teenagers and young people to be able to assert themselves within their social environment as a precursor to preparing them to be able to respectfully interrogate dysfunctional corrupt leadership structures and take on leadership positions themselves from an early age.
